Course Description

This course provides an overview of Instructional Design models with an emphasis on evaluating and using the appropriate models for specific training scenarios. The Rapid Prototyping Model is used to solve an IDPT problem.

Student Learning Outcomes

After completing this course the student will:
1. Examine and evaluate Instructional Design (ID) Models. (ibstipi 1, 2, 3, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14)
2. Determine the appropriate ID Model for specific training scenarios. (ibstipi 1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14)
3. Judge when to use the Rapid Prototyping Model in comparison to other ID Models. (ibstipi 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14)
4. Design and create an IDPT solution by using the Rapid Prototyping Model.

This MS Degree and courses are based upon the International Board of Standards for Training, Performance and Instruction (ibstpi®). The Instructional Designer standards, competencies, and performance statements are utilized to determine Course Outcomes.
